Energy Surveys and Audits
We offer several levels of assistance in this area depending upon the client's needs, monies available and the organization's commitment to do something for today and/or the future.
One of our most popular offerings is where one of our Senior people visit the site for a tour of the various energy consumers and how they are operating today, meet with your senior designated administrator or Facilities Manager and discuss what parameters we have to operate within and from this we will generate a report.
This report will usually consist of a number of:
- items that can be done as components fail and you only end up paying for the differnce between the normal replacement cost and the cost of a more energy component
- some sort of scheduling and limitation of operation of some items at non-use times
- some suggestions on lighting retrofits that may prove to be very economical
- some suggestions as to how to make the building envelop tighter
- some suggestions as to improved ventilation operation
This type of report is usually quite inexpensive and can result in a very good cost effective way to reduce energy costs.
We also offer reports done by our specialized Professional Engineer that can go much deeper into the potential of the energy savings of the building and its equipment. this type of survey is intended for those who intend to keep their buildings for a long period of time and realize that it will take capital now to save for the future. This work is done on a per hour basis at our Engineer's very fair fee, budget prices are available, but the owner should be very serious about energy conservation before spending this kind of money. Incidentally, the larger the building (where the size of the equipment increases but the number of systems do not necessarily. The cost of this type of study becomes very reasonable.
